Our mission

BetterNature is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded by four high school students in Memphis, Tennessee with a mission to cultivate a healthier planet, one community at a time. As the world’s population grows, so does our impact on the environment. That’s why we are dedicated to educating the public about environmental challenges and empowering people of all ages to take meaningful action.

We began as a simple blog where we wrote about conservation, climate change, and the natural world. But very quickly, we realized we wanted to do more than share information. We wanted to make a real, hands-on difference. What started as a platform for education has grown into a community-driven organization committed not only to raising awareness but also to creating positive environmental change across Memphis and beyond.

Whether it is restoring habitats, supporting sustainability initiatives, leading youth-driven projects, or inspiring people through educational content, BetterNature exists to show that anyone at any age can help protect the planet.

One step at a time

We strive to create engaging events that unite communities to conserve and protect our local nature. From river cleanups to projects that promote healthy bird populations, we focus on initiatives that improve the health of our rivers, animals, and overall ecosystem.
